Once, there was a land with two towns.  The first one, called Dolltown, was a town where two-legged dolls lived.  The second one, called Doll City, was where one- footed dolls lived.  The one-footed dolls and the two-legged dolls were friends and they were happy together.

One day, the mayor of Doll City visited the mayor of Dolltown.  As he entered Dolltown, the two-legged dolls all laughed at him because he had only the one leg. "Hey, look; he only has one leg!  Ha ha ha."

The mayor of Doll City got so mad that he screamed, "This is war!"  Then he went home.  The mayor of Dolltown tried to apologize, but it was too late; the mayor of Doll City was gone.

The mayor of Dolltown was very cross with the citizens of Dolltown and scolded them.  "My people, look what you have done!  You have all laughed at him and hurt his feelings.  Because of that, now we are at war!"  All the dolls people were ashI'med; because they had insulted the mayor of Doll City, now they were at war.  So through the years, the two-legged dolls had been fighting with the one-legged dolls.

Then, one day, a stranger came hopping through the woods.  It was a one-footed doll name Raven, who was hoping to find a new place to live. Raven noticed that two towns were having a war, so she went to Dolltown to ask them why.  As she entered the gate, she met a guard.

"Hello," she said, "my name is Raven."

"Go away," said the guard.  "We don't need you at our town."

"Why?" asked Raven, feeling hurt and confused.  "I'm only trying find a place to live."

"I don't care," said the guard.  "You don't belong here.  You only belong in Doll City.  Now get!"

So Raven entered the Doll City gate.  There, she met a one-footed soldier.  "Hello," he said, "who are you?"

"My name is Raven," she explained, "and I came to live here and to find a home.

"Why do you want live here?" he asked.

"Because I don't have a home," she explained.  "I tried Dolltown, but someone said I don't belong there.  So I'm going to try to live here," said Raven.

"Are you crazy?" shouted the soldier.  "Dolltown hates us."

"But why?" she asked.

"A long time ago," explained the soldier, "our mayor went to Dolltown on what should have been a friendly visit.  But everyone laughed at him because he had only one leg.  Now we're at war with Dolltown."

"That's not right," said Raven.  "War is bad!  Maybe i could try to talk to the mayor about stopping the war."

"You can try," warned the soldier, but there's no way he'll listen to you."

So Raven entered the city gates. Raven love how Doll City looked; aside from the walls that they had built to keep out the bullets and bombs, it was a beautiful place, with bright colors, tall green trees and colorful flowers.

"Welcome to Doll City," said a doll.  "I'm Ted.  Who are you?"

"I'm Raven," she said, "and I'm here to find a place to live and to stop the war."

"Are you crazy?" said Ted.  "It's impossible to stop the war!"

"Not if we work together as a team," said Raven with courage and hope.

"But what can we do?" asked another doll.  "We've been at war for eighteen years!  By the way, my name's Jen."

Soon Raven went up to a crowd of dolls who were talking about the war and how it should end.

"Listen up!" Raven said loudly.  "I'm Raven, and I came here to find a home, but it seems to be that war is destroying your homes."

One of the dolls came up to her.  "Hi, the name's James.  I'm the son of the mayor, and you're beautiful."

"Thanks," said Raven with a blush.  "So you're the son of the mayor?  If you'd be so kind to let me talk to your father about the war please?" she asked him.

"Anything for you, my love!"

The dolls were shock to see James falling in love with her.  James had never fallen in love with anyone before and Raven was the first girl that he loved.

So Raven follow James to see his father.  As they entered the town hall, Raven and James stood in front of the mayor's door.

Mayor Rob was working.  There was a knock at the door.  "Who's there?" he asked.

"It's me, father," said James, "and I have someone who wants to talk to you."

"Come in, my son," said Mayor Rob.  They entered the office. . "Please, sit down," said Mayor Rob.

When they were sitting comfortably, Mayor Rob asked, "So, what can I do for you?"

"Hello, sir," said Raven.  "I'm Raven.  I'm here to ask you to stop the war."

"That will never happen," said Mayor Rob sternly.  "You see, young lady, eighteen years ago, when I was voted to be the new mayor I went to visit Dolltown.  But then
everyone laughed at me because i had only one leg.  So it's a Matter of pride with me.

"But if you don't stop the war, it will kill everyone," argued Raven.  "And that's just not right."

"So what?" snapped Mayor Rob.  "It's not my fault that I was laughed by those two-legged freaks!  Besides, it's too late to stop it now, so get out."

"Fine," said Raven in a huff, "but if your son went to war, don't go crying to me."  She lift the office with a frown.

"James," said Mayor Rob worriedly, "watch her and make sure that she doesn't make trouble."

"You know, Dad," said James, "she's right.  If we keep having this war, all our people will die.  I'm going to help her whether you like it or not!"

"Is she your girlfriend?" asked Mayor Rob playfully.

"Well, maybe not a full-blown one yet," said James with his own teasing smirk.  Then he became serious.  "But I like her a lot."  James left his father.

Rob stared to think about what Raven said.  "Maybe I should stop this war," he said.

Then a dark shadow doll came out of the shadows.  "No," said the shadow doll, "we shouldn't stop it.  Besides what if she's spying for the mayor of Dolltown?"

"You're right, Bob" said Rob.  "Of course we should keep the war on; besides the Dolltown is evil."

The Mayor was being hypnotized by the shadow doll.  The shadow doll was evil and he wanted them to keep fighting because when the dolls fought, some of them died.  Then he would absorb their souls and use them to make him powerful,  He was the meanest doll ever.

Meanwhile Raven was at a restaurant sitting with her new friends.

"I can't believe he won't stop the war!" exclaimed Raven.  "I mean, does he even care that his people will die?"

"Well, that's my Dad for you," said James.  "He'll never change!"

Jen was thinking. "Maybe we should band together and stop it...but how?"

Matt just sat & thought. "James?  Is there someone making him act this way?"

"Well...there is someone named Bob," said James.  "When I was three, he came to us after my Mom died."

"Oh, I'm so sorry about that," said Raven.

"It's okay," said James.  "I'm sure she's with us in spirit.  Anyway my Dad needed someone to give him advice.  You see, my Mom was his advisor, but when she got killed during the war, my father was very upset.  After that a dark shadow doll came to Doll City to be his advisor, so now he's the one who changed my Dad to the way he is now."
"That's terrible," said Matt.
"Yeah, I know," groused James.  "My father's not the same anymore."
"Maybe now we can stop the war from killing your people," suggested Raven.
"That's a great idea, Raven, but how?" asked Jen.
Just then another doll walked into the restaurant and walked up to them.  "Hello there.  I'm Melissa, and I want to help you stop the war."
"How can you help us? Jen asked.
"Well, my Dad works for the mayor," said Melissa.  "Maybe he has more influence on him."
"That's a great idea," said James," but how did you know that the mayor was my father?" James asked.
"My Dad told me," said Melissa.
"Well, welcome to the group," said Raven.  "I'm Raven."  Raven & Melissa shook hands.

Meanwhile, in a dark part of the city someone was watching them like a hawk.  It was Bob.  "Those little fools don't know that that my daughter Melissa is spying for me!  Soon I will rule the world!"  He disappeared into the shadows, cackling evilly.

"I thought your Dad was so busy that he couldn't teach you how to drive," asked Jen as James drove everyone to his home.

"My Uncle John taught me when I was younger," said James.  "After hearing what happened to my Mom, he came to live here with me so I wouldn't be alone."

"I cant believe that your only father wasn't there for you," Jen said.  "That makes me so mad that I could scream."
"Well, James, at least your uncle was raising you," said Melissa.

James stopped the car at a big mansion.  "Is that your home?" asked Matt.  "It sure is big." said Matt.
"Okay, everyone, out of the car," said James.
They got out of the car.  Then the gate open by itself (it was operated by remote control).  "Welcome to our home," said John.

After making introductions, James explained the situation.  "My friends are here because we're going to stop the war, said James.
"You know your Dad will never stop the war," said John.
"Well, we've got to try," said Raven.  "We know that someone is controlling his father, a guy named Bob."
"My Dad knows the mayor and maybe he will try to ask him to stop the war," said Melissa ., h
"Hmm...you've got a point there," said John.  "All right, I'll help you, but first let's have dinner."
"I'm so hungry I can eat a cow," agreed Matt.
"Hey, Melissa, are you coming? James asked.
"I have to call my Dad so he doesn't worry about me," said Melissa.

Melissa call her Dad on her cell phone.  "Dad, it's me," she said.
"What are they planning?" Bob asked.
"They're planning to stop the war,"said Melissa.
"I knew she was going to be trouble!  Melissa, keep an eye on her and make sure to stop them," he ordered her.
"Dad...I don't want to do this anymore," said Melissa. "It's not good."
"Keep spying on them or you're grounded for a year," said Bob.

Melissa got off the phone with a sigh.  Then she turned and saw Raven, who had heard the whose thing.
"Melissa, how could you?" Raven said..
"Raven, you know?" said Melissa.
"Yes, I did, but why are you doing this?"
So Melissa explained everything about her Dad's plans.
"So that's why he doing this...to get more power," she finished. "I had no choice; I had to help him,"
"Why didn't your Mom stop him?" said Raven.
"She's dead," said Melissa after a pause., Melissa stared to cry and Raven hugged her.  When Raven let go, she explained.

"It was when I was six years old.  You see, my Mom and my Dad were good people, but then my Mom and Dad stared to fight.   I did not know the whole reason my Dad was fighting with my Mom, but my Dad said, 'But, Molly, with this power we could rule the world together!'  Then my Mom said, 'No, I'm not doing it.  It's evil!'  Then Dad said, 'But what about Melissa?  I bet she would like it.  Then Mom said. 'Keep away from Molly!  I'm not letting her grow up like you.'  Then Dad said,  'Fine!  I'm leaving.'  As he left I went to talk to Mom and I asked, 'Why did Dad leave us?'.  Mom said 'Because he need time to think.'  For three months me and Mom had a good life, but then when we were crossing the street one day, a car almost killed me but Mom push me out of the way and she saved me but was hit instead.  Two days later she was buried in the cemetery.  All her friends came, even my Dad.

"So I lived with my Dad for ten years.  He told me that he had the power to make our lives happy.  So we traveled on the road day and night. When we entered Doll City, my Dad saw the two towns fighting and it gave him an idea.  He told the mayor that he would be his advisor and he would help him.  I didn't like the idea, but that's how he is."

"That's a sad story," said Raven.  "All right, I won't tell anyone about this."
"Thank you, Raven," said Melissa .  She and Raven hugged.

After John's wife Rose served dinner, they made plans to stop the war.  "Since Melissa's Dad knows the mayor," suggested Matt, "maybe we can ask him to help us.  What do you think, Melissa?"
"I...I cant do this anymore," said Melissa.
"What do you mean?" said Jen, confused.
"The truth is, I'm a spy," confessed Melissa.  "My father is the mayor's advisor and he doesn't want the war to stop."
"What?  But...why?" said Matt.
"I knew she couldn't be trusted," said James.
"Let me explain," said Melissa.  She told the whole story.  She finished with, "And he's got your father hypnotized to keep the war going, James."
"But how, and why?" asked John when it was over.
"Because my Dad need souls to live on," said Melissa, "and he's going to use them to rule the world."
"If we broke the spell then my Dad can stop the war," said James.
"Great idea, but how do we do it?" asked Jen. ,. h
"Hmm...what if I ask him to come over for dinner then we could break it?" said John.
"Oh, John, that a great idea," said Rose.
"But what about my Dad?  He'll try to stop us," said Melissa.
"Hey, Melissa, since he's so powerful he might have a weakness," said Matt.
"Does he?" James asked.
"The only thing that can stop him is good magic," said Melissa.
"So all we need is someone who can break the spell...but who?" said Matt.
"I think I know someone," said Jen.  "Her name is Alex.  But there's a hitch...she lives in Dolltown."
"We can't go there," said John.  "The two-legged dolls hate us." said John.
"He's got a point," said Rose.  "You need someone who can go there."
"...I think I know someone," said James.  "My stepsister, Bianca.  When I was two, my Mom adopted her because she lost her parents during the war."
"Cool," said Rose, "but why didn't you tell us about her?"
"You never asked me," said James.  Everyone rolled their eyes at James's stupid answer.
"Does she have two legs?" Raven asked.
"Yes, she does...and she's right behind you," said James.  Raven turned around and saw her.
"Hello, I'm Bianca.  It's nice to meet you," said Bianca.
"Can you really do good magic?" Matt asked.
"Watch me."  Bianca started to fly like a bird, then came down slowly.
"Wow, that was fun," said Jen.
"Thanks, I've been doing magic for a long time," said Bianca.  "So, James, why did you call me?"
"We need your help to stop the war," said James.  They explained the whole story.
"So, you'll help us?" Matt asked.
"Sure; besides, this war must stop," said Bianca.
So Bianca teleported to Dolltown and started to ask some dolls for help.  Then a doll named Aaron bumped into her.  "Ouch," said Aaron.
"Are you okay?" she asked.
"Sure I'm okay, but what about you?" said Aaron.
"I'm fine," she said.  "Hello, I'm Bianca."
"My name's Aaron.  Welcome to Dolltown!  Are you looking for Alex?"
"Yes.  How do you know Alex?"
"She's my stepsister; she and I live together in the same house," said Aaron  "Our parents died during the war and we take care of ourselves."

John went to see his brother at work and ask him to come over.  He knocked on the door.
"Who goes there? said Rob.
"It's me, John...your brother.  I'm here to talk to you," said John.
"Come in said Rob.
John entered Rob's office.  "Hello, Rob.  Would you like to come to our house for dinner?"
"No, I'm busy,"
"But, Rob," John insisted, "I really think that you need a break from work.  Besides, Rose is making your favorite food eggplant surprise," said John.
"Hmm...all right, I'll come but I'll only be there for one hour."
"Dinner will start at 5 p.m., okay?" said John .
"...Right, I'll be there," said Rob.  John left the office and went home.
Bob came out of the wall.  "Rob, are you sure you should go?  What if it is a trap?"
"Nonsense," said Rob.  "Besides, it would be nice to see my family."
"Very well."  Bob vanished.

Meanwhile, Bianca & Aaron entered the house.  "Alex, I'm back," said Aaron.  "I've brought a guest.  Bianca here was looking for you."
"We need your help said Bianca.  She explained the situation.
"Hmm...okay," said Alex, "since your Dad's under a spell I will break it but do you have anyone that can stop his advisor?" said Alex.
"Yeah, me," said Bianca.  "I know a lot of good magic."

When they teleported home, they explained the plan.
"Okay, everyone listen," said John.  "When Rob comes though the door, James shows him to his seat.  Alex, you sit next to him."
Melissa noticed Rob outside the door  "He's here," she said.

Everyone sat at the table when Rob came in.  "Hello, John," he said.  "I hope I didn't miss anything."
"No, we were just starting," said John.
"Hey, Dad," said Bianca.  "It's good to see you."
"Bianca!  How's everything doing?" said Rob.
"Great!  Come on, the food's getting cold" said Bianca.
"Hello, father, had a nice day?" said James.
"Yes, I did," said Rob.
"Dad, do you remember that a long time ago I was adopted?" said Bianca.
"Yes, why do you ask? said Rob.
"I found my missing sister," said Bianca.
"Dad, I want you to meet Alex," said James.
"It's nice to meet you, said Alex.
"Wait a minute, you have two legs!  How could this happen?" said Rob.
"It was a long time ago when I was young," explained Alex.  " I lost my family during the war.  It was awful, but then Aaron's dad found me and gave me a new home."
"Can you prove this is true?" said Rob.
Alex nodded.  "I have a mark that looks like a star on my hand, and Bianca has a Moon on hers, see?" said Alex.  Bianca and Alex showed their marks to Rob.
"See, Dad?" said Bianca.  "She's my sister and I know she has two legs and so do I, but that doesn't mean we're the enemy."
Alex stared at Rob.  Rob looked at her and noticed spirals in her eyes.  "What are you doing?" he demanded.
"Breaking the spell," said Alex.  Rob closed his eyes and then reopened them.   The spell was broken!  "What happened?" said Rob.
"Dad, are you okay?" said James.
"I think so..." said Rob.
"Dad, do you really want the war to stop?" said Bianca.
"Of course I want it to stop; why do you ask? said Rob. will you see for a long time "We've had war for eighteen years now," said James.  "Do you remember your advisor?"
"Yes, but what has that to do with anything?" Rob asked.  They brought him up to speed.
"If this is true, then why do you want to stop your Dad?" Rob asked Melissa. "Because as much as I love him, he must be stopped," said Melissa.
Suddenly, Bob materialized out of the shadows!  "Not so fast!  How dare you betray me, Melissa?"
"Back off, you lose," said Raven.
"Yeah, give up," said James.
But with the power that Bob had collected he grew into a giant.  "You'll never stop me.  I've won!"
"Oh, no, you don't," said Bianca.  "I challenge you to a Wizardry Duel.  If I win, you give back all the souls you've taken.  If not, I become your slave."
"No, don't do it!" said Aaron.
"I'm not going to lose you again," added Alex.
"I'm sorry, but I have to," said Bianca.  She then made a shimmering wall of solid light around them so Bob couldn't hurt them.
The battle began as Bianca throw lightning at Bob.  But it went through him.  Bob threw a shadow ball that hit and stunned her.  Bianca recovered and hurled a fireball at Bob, hitting him in the face.

Meanwhile, Mayor Sam of Dolltown came to his senses.  Bob had been hypnotizing him as well, and with Bob distracted and weakened the spell was losing power.  Sam decided to give Mayor Rob a call.

"Bianca's getting thrashed!" groaned Raven worriedly.
"Is there any way we can save her?" asked James.  "Maybe Bob's like a vampire, and we need a cross or something to hurt him."
"I've got one," said Alex, pulling out a silver cross.
"Who could be calling me at a time like this?" asked Mayor Rob as his cell phone buzzed.  He answered it.  "This better be good; I'm kind of busy here."
"Mayor Rob? I'm Sam, the mayor of Dolltown, and I think we should stop the war," said Sam.
"Good!" said Rob, "because there's been no greater need to work together than now!"

Bianca was losing the battle.
"Give up," said Bob.  "You'll never win."
"I...cough...I never give up," Bianca managed to say.
"Hey, Bob," shouted Rob.  Bob turned towards Rob.  "You might as well surrender, Bob.  Mayor Sam of Dolltown called and asked me to call off the war."
"You refused, of course?" asked Bob expectantly.
"Heck, no," said Rob defiantly.  "The war's over.  No more deaths, no more souls.  You lose."

"Here, Bianca, use this."  Alex threw the cross and Bianca grabbed it.
"Thanks Alex.  Hey, Bob...look what I got for you!"  Bianca throw the cross right at Bob.  Bob screamed as he exploded into a massive fireball.  Then all the souls were free to go to heaven.  Bob shrank back to human size.  Bianca won the battle.

"She did it, Dad!  She saved us all!" James smiled.
"That's my daughter," said Rob with pride.
"Finally, it's over," said Aaron.
The police and paramedics came; apparently, all the pyrotechnics from the fight had attracted some attention.  The policemen put Bob in a patrol car to take him to jail.
"Dad," said Melissa before the patrol car drove away, "even though you tried to rule the world, I still love you."
"Melissa," said Bob repentantly, "when I come back, I promise to be a better father to you."  The police car drove away.  Meanwhile, the paramedics succeeded in reviving Bianca.

Matt visited Bianca in the hospital.  "Thank you, sister.  You're a hero."
"Gee, thanks; but I couldn't have done it without everyone's help."

Raven and all of her friends had a new life.  The dolls rebuilt their land and called it Doll Land.  Bianca and Alex became good sisters again.  Sometimes they still fought but lucky Rob was there to stop their fighting.
James had a new sister but also a girlfriend, Raven.
Bianca had a new boyfriend, too, in Aaron.
Melissa and Matt fell in love to.
Jen became the mayor's new advisor.  She plans to make a park for the children of the land.
Bob was in jail but Melissa always visited him on Sunday.
And, as the saying goes, they all lived happily ever after. THE END.
